Golden Scarab Trinket Box

Pebble/ Scarab beetle shaped laquered box. Black eggshell finish interior, varnished gold leaf exterior. Formerly owned by Tony Duquette, American artist, costume designer and interior designer, 1914-1999.  

Some wear to the gold leaf, consistent with age and use.
