Soon after the turn of the century, Charles and Margaret Forster arrived from their native Vienna, bringing with them a taste for fine linens. Their first shop, Salon de Trouseau, opened on W. 57th St. in 1910, heralding the elegance and sophistication that Léron would come to epitomize. The name 'Léron' was adopted in 1931. They have been making fine custom linens ever since. This pair of shams were made for a Viennese family in New York City.
Both shams are in good condition with minimal signs of age, use and wear. One is in immaculate condition, the other has some light staining/ one tiny mark. The buttons and original labels are intact.
